The Food ATP programmes are a new collection of postgraduate qualifications designed to fit with your work-life balance.  Our programmes encompass a combination of distance and face-to-face teaching and deliver highly inspirational, cutting edge material using the latest learning techniques to ensure skills are quickly embedded in your working environment.

Innovative and exciting, our programmes are structured to deliver advanced knowledge and understanding in the area of Sustainable Food Quality for Health as it relates to food and agricultural industry employees in issues relevant to their professional careers, and provide a depth of understanding across a broad range of issues, with emphasis on four main themes:

  • Principles and practice of research
  • Nutrition, Health and the Consumer
  • Managing Risk & Food Safety
  • Sustainable Practices in Food Production

More specifically, programmes bear testament to the Food ATP’s proposition ‘Fresh thought for food’, highlighting their primary objective to bring fresh thought and ideas to the food industry by giving employees and employers alike the skills, knowledge and confidence to assess, challenge and implement change.

Teaching crosses traditional skill disciplines within the fields of food and agricultural science and encourages critical reflection on existing professional practices and their adaptation to the 21st century challenges of global food security, regulation and consumer demand.
